In the third quarter of 2024, Panama's Android users showed varying levels of engagement with music and podcast applications, as revealed by Sensor Tower data. Here's a closer look at how the top 5 apps performed in terms of weekly downloads, revenue, and active users.

Spotify: Music and Podcasts from Spotify AB saw a consistent increase in weekly revenue, culminating at around $2.2K in the last week of September. Weekly downloads fluctuated slightly, peaking at 3.7K in mid-August. The app maintained a stable number of active users, hovering around 380K throughout the quarter.

YouTube Music by Google LLC did not generate any revenue during this period. However, it recorded a steady decline in weekly downloads, starting at 1.3K in early July and dropping to 1.1K by the end of September. Conversely, the app's active user base grew, reaching approximately 258K by the end of the quarter.

Shazam: Find Music & Concerts from Apple Inc. also reported no revenue but experienced a moderate increase in downloads, peaking at 1.3K in early August. The app's active users fluctuated slightly, maintaining a base of around 30K throughout the quarter.

eSound: MP3 Music Player App by Spicy Sparks showed a notable spike in both downloads and active users. Downloads surged to nearly 2K in mid-August, while active users peaked at 4.9K in mid-September. Revenue was minimal, reaching a maximum of $23 in early September.
